Stilfser Joch (2758 m)

Length: 24 km; Vertical climbing: 1808 m
The Stilfser Joch is frequently referred to as the Royal pass, and this for a very good reason. Famous for its 48 switchbacks, which in the upper part
relentlessly cross vertical cliffs, and inclines of up to 18%. The vertical altitude to be covered (1808 meter over 24 km) can be rarely experienced
elsewhere. During the peak of the summer season traffic is heavy and great care should be taken while descending.
